anyone have knowledge of the maco ..490 1986 model.....and more importantly where can you get spare parts...staitor......

490 maico? thats a full on open 500 2 stroke crosser isnt it? parts arent too easy to get for that sort of thing. if its an ignition stator i would try electrex or west country windings to see if they could repair the stock one.

490 maico.........................its a horse on wheels not a bike, used to play on one of those as a kid. nice loud bikes

mate of mine raced a maico 500 a year or 5 ago, he used to get his maico bits from a guy called hugh baldwin who had a car garage near southport but who also stocked some maico parts and sponsored a team running a maico in a loacl club championship. its been years since i went, but im sure the guy is still trading though i dont know if he still sels bits for maicos!
